An online K–12 math and reading platform with Ukrainian roots launches an automated recap tool designed to help students stay on track.

Las Vegas, NV – April 11, 2026 – Brighterly, a K–12 learning platform focusing on core disciplines in math and ELA, rolls out a new feature — a beta version of AI Lesson Summaries. The tool’s feature aims to address the “forgotten lessons”, an issue that hinders students’ ability to retain new information. According to research on the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve and memory decay, children who don’t revisit the material shortly after, lose up to 70% of recently covered content.

“We built Brighterly on the belief that great teachers and smart technology are most powerful when they work together. ”

AI Lesson Summaries is that belief in action. It takes what a tutor creates in a session and extends its impact far beyond the hour, helping kids build knowledge that lasts.

How AI Summaries Work

AI Lesson Summaries automatically summarize the lesson and create a short overview of what was learned in class as soon as it ends. This feature is a full-fledged AI assistant that analyzes the lesson recordings and pulls out key points and learning milestones during 1:1 lessons. Basically, the students get:

  • A straightforward summary  of the math and reading concepts they learned in class
  • Insights, milestones, and key takeaways from the subject matter
  • Simple at-home activities to support the learning

“We created AI Lesson Summaries to give parents a clear recap of every session as soon as it finishes.”

Parents told us they loved the results of our tutoring but felt disconnected from the process. Feedback sessions shouldn't be a luxury — they should be instant.

How AI Summaries Work

The Problem AI Lesson Summaries Solve

The educational system in the U.S. has faced serious obstacles since the 2020 COVID pandemic. This is not always related to the quality of teaching. What happens after the lesson takes place is also an issue. The forgetting curve is a common pattern among students today — showing how, within hours or days, a big chunk of information can be lost.

The platform is actively working on gathering feedback from the beta version users of AI Lesson Summaries. Drawing from that information, the tool will expand and evolve over time — with the summaries becoming more personalized and adapted to lessons’ content. That will help parents to:

  • Take the pressure of keeping up with the child’s progress
  • Understand the areas that need improvement
  • Spot knowledge gaps before they can become blockers

Availability and Roadmap

At this stage, Brighterly launches the AI Lesson Summaries beta. The full version is expected to become widely available by the end of 2026. With that in mind, the company is aiming to add built-in self-practice functionality to AI Lesson Summaries shaped by the students’ personalized insights, takeaways, and key learning areas. This functionality will focus not only on lesson summaries, but on personalized recommendations for improvement — areas students struggle with and need to fill gaps in. Beyond that, the tool will redirect students to adapted at-home practice materials.
