About Brighterly

Founded in 2021 with a mission to help U.S. students overcome learning gaps caused by COVID and one-size-fits-all education, Brighterly has grown into a global edtech company serving more than 20,000 students through a network of 800+ tutors.

We provide personalized 1:1 math and reading lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, pace, and individual needs — helping kids close gaps, build confidence, and develop long-term learning skills.

What makes us different

🎯 Focus on core subjects

We teach math and reading — foundational subjects every child needs for future learning.

🤝 Human connection

We believe real learning happens through genuine human connection. Nothing replaces the bond between a teacher and student.

✨ AI that supports, not replaces

We use smart technology to make learning more adaptive, personalized, and engaging.

🏆 Built for school success

Our lessons align with U.S. state standards and connect directly to what students learn in school.

Media about us

How was Brighterly born?

Math always came naturally to me, but in both school and university, I saw how often it was taught in a way that felt abstract and disconnected from real life.

Brighterly was founded in 2021. We asked ourselves a simple question: what educational problem truly affects millions of children? For us, the answer was math.

The more we looked at the U.S. education market, the clearer it became that this was not a niche issue. Millions of students were pushed through school with gaps in their knowledge that no one stopped to fix.

For me, it was also personal. Math always came naturally to me, but in both school and university, I saw how often it was taught in a way that felt abstract and disconnected from real life. The question students naturally ask — why does this matter? — was too often left unanswered.

I also learned something else: when a subject finally clicks for a child, it is usually because of the person teaching it. Real learning is deeply human. That is why we started with math. Over time, it led us to expand into ELA and grow our mission into something bigger: helping kids build the foundational skills they need to succeed in school and later in life.
