Jhover S. Quirante is a seasoned math teacher and tutor with 15+ years of experience teaching Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. He joined Brighterly as a K–12 math tutor, aiming to help students develop fundamental math skills and motivation to learn.
Education and Professional Skills
Jhover holds a Master’s Degree in Arts in Education in Mathematics from Mindoro State University. He also earned a teacher license through the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Jhover S. Quirante’s Experience Before Brighterly
Before Jhover joined Brighterly, he had been working both as a school teacher and a 1:1 math tutor for 15 years. Jhover handled students from elementary to college level and guided them through classwork, homework, school assignments, and extra practice to reinforce math skills. Jhover also had an extensive background supporting ADHD students.
Now, he is part of the Brighterly team, bringing his classroom and tutoring experience to build engaging lessons based on each student’s unique abilities and pace.

As a former school teacher, I know that following a strict curriculum never clicks 100%. Students should have the freedom to slow down when they don’t understand and speed up when they’re confident with the material. Brighterly allows that — it gets away from “process” and into why and how concepts are connected.
Current Activities and Approach to Students
Jhover has been teaching for over 15 years. During that time, he supported students both in the classroom and as a private tutor. Jhover regularly collaborated with fellow educators to develop learning curricula and personalized plans, as well as curated them individually.
Today, his approach resonates with Brighterly’s commitment to personalized learning. He applies his knowledge to make learning effective and fun in every lesson. His teaching philosophy is based on two pillars:
- Learning should never be trivial. Students deserve a full understanding of the subject, especially math.
- Building trust is essential for helping students feel confident and ready to ask questions.

As a parent, Jhover deeply understands the role education plays in a child’s life. So, he keeps exploring new ways to help children grow intellectually and applies that knowledge to help students develop strong critical thinking and a lifelong love for learning.
