Lalaine Pearl Estampa is a reading and ELA tutor with four years of experience teaching Chinese and Korean students in virtual, one-on-one lessons. She also worked with adult students on IELTS prep, many of them aiming for a move to the United States.
She’s joined Brighterly as a Reading and ELA tutor for students in grades K through 12.

Lalaine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Communication Management, majoring in Communication Management, from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in 2024. A TESOL Certificate rounds out her credentials.
Lalaine Pearl Estampa’s Experience Before Brighterly
One-on-one virtual lessons made up the bulk of Lalaine’s work before Brighterly, mostly with Chinese and Korean students building English skills for school or work. IELTS preparation sat alongside that, aimed at adult learners with a specific goal ahead of them.

Current Activities and Approach to Students
Reading skills come first for Lalaine. The love of books she’s after matters just as much. She ties stories back to a student’s own life and keeps discussions open enough that a student’s opinion actually matters in the room.
Positive experiences add up over time, and Lalaine treats each one as part of the same goal. A student who feels something while reading tends to stay motivated, and confidence tends to follow close behind.
Comprehension work goes past the page itself. Lalaine wants students walking away as thoughtful communicators, capable of using what they’ve practiced at school and outside of it too.
That line captures how Lalaine sees her own role. A lesson that sticks with a student well past the hour it happened in counts as a win, maybe the biggest one she looks for.
