Jomhel Agnote is an experienced math tutor with over 10+ years of experience teaching Math, Pre-Algebra & Algebra, and Math Test Prep. He joined Brighterly as a Grades K–12 tutor, where he supports students in bridging learning gaps and developing strong problem-solving skills.

Jomhel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños.
Jomhel Agnote’s Experience Before Brighterly
Before Jomhel joined Brighterly, he worked at a local tutorial center, where he supported students of different ages and learning levels, both 1:1 and in small-group settings. This experience helped him develop classroom management skills and a deep understanding of how to adapt learning curricula to each student’s needs. Jomhel also worked as an online instructor at an online math platform and supported students through 1:1 online lessons.
Jomhel regularly monitored student progress through assessments, homework reviews, and lesson observations. He provided progress updates on students’ performance for parents and developed strategies and practice activities to support learning outside the classroom.

A one-size-fits-all education was never my vision for learning. Brighterly allows teachers to build learning plans that focus on the child’s needs, not just drills or following a standardised plan. Wherever they’re getting stuck, we pinpoint that and find ways to address those challenges with targeted practice.
Current Activities and Approach to Students
With 10 years of experience as a 1:1 tutor, Jomhel develops highly personalized learning plans that support each student’s needs. He works with students of all levels and actively supports students with ADHD. Jomhel guides students through homework, school assignments, quizzes, tests, and exam prep.
Today, Jomhel brings his knowledge and experience to help Brighterly students learn math, gain confidence, and develop a positive attitude toward learning. His approach focuses on:

I am an empathic tutor, so a traditional one-method approach never really worked for me. At Brighterly, I have the opportunity to help students learn at their own pace and discover that math can be enjoyable and understandable.
