Florence Khitsane is a dedicated math tutor for elementary and high school students with over 2 years of experience in the field. Although Florence is a certified English coach, her strong proficiency in mathematics and passion for teaching has enabled her to become one of the top tutors on the Brighterly math tutoring platform.
Education and professional skills
Florence Khitsane graduated from the National University of Lesotho in 2013 with a BA specializing in Public Administration & Politics. While working in HR for multiple years, she realized her passion lay in working with people.
She began her professional tutoring journey in 2022, making it a turning point in her career. Initially starting as an English tutor, she then expanded her expertise to math, where she found a good use for her interpersonal skills and ability to make complex ideas more relatable. Florence successfully implemented the communication skills she gained working in HR into her teaching as a Brighterly math tutor.
Florence Khitsane is certified in Cambridge Celta and TEFL programs. This emphasizes her excellent skills in teaching internationally.

Florence’s experience before Brighterly
As mentioned, Florence has been working as an HR specialist for many years. When she switched to tutoring, Florence found a way to implement her core organizational and communication skills into her teaching methodology to become an expert in the new field.
During her years as a Math & English Tutor at several global online educational platforms and in-person tutor providers, Florence developed strong teaching skills. Bringing forth several years of experience, she combined her passion for serving as an effective educator and helping students achieve proficiency both in math and in the English Language.

Florence is a Brighterly online math tutor, helping students build confidence in math – whether they need support with basic skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division or more advanced topics like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Current activities and approach to students
Florence is a well-rounded math tutor who combines various learning styles to cater to diverse students’ needs, encourage student participation, and improve learning outcomes. Her primary teaching style is proactive, STEM-emphasized, and focused on improving children’s critical thinking abilities. During a math class, she assesses student progress, adjusts her teaching techniques, and leverages hands-on learning to encourage students to apply their math skills in real life and promote learning.
Throughout her time at Brighterly, Florence also participated in writing articles in the Brighterly blog. Writing and editing articles is one of her many passions. Her other professional activity involves creating free math worksheets and homework for students, providing them with engaging, simple, and accessible material that helps reinforce math.
In her free time, Florence prefers painting, attending history lectures, and volunteering at local shelters.
